Hospitals are encouraged to participate in the Stop BSI Collaborative, a multi-state initiative to prevent central line associated blood stream infections. The two-year project began on July 7 with weekly immersion phone calls. Teams can still join the project and should plan to participate in the upcoming calls to get more information. The calls are every Tuesday from 4-5 p.m. through Aug. 25. Use the following dial in information: 888/889-1172, spoken password is Stop BSI. The first face-to-face meeting of the Stop BSI collaborative is set for Sept. 30 in Indianapolis.
