Preliminary reports will be returned to the hospital within 30 days after the close of data submission for each quarter. Within each indicator, hospitals are compared to similar hospitals by peer group, bed size, and all-payer case mix. Individual hospital data are graphed and trended for the most recent quarters. The software program also includes a component for hospitals to prepare internal ad hoc reports from the case data entered in the system. This is especially helpful for data analysis for performance improvement and credentialing activities.

Custom Reports

Custom reports can be generated from the IHA report software for any indicator with aggregated time periods of six months, nine months and annually. Statewide comparison reports accompany the indicator report.

For participating hospitals wanting comparative data for in-depth indicator data analysis, custom data queries can be programmed from the COP database to assist you. Information is only released in aggregates of three or more hospitals. Hospital-specific data is not releasable per the IHA release of information rules.
