IHA has entered into a formal partnership with Purdue University to provide Indiana’s hospitals with performance improvement consulting through two complimentary technical assistance programs—Center for Medication Safety Advancement  and HealthcareTAP.

These programs offer a variety of training and services to support short-term performance improvement projects. Typical projects are less than 90 days with a return on investment in about six months. Utilizing multidisciplinary teams of Purdue faculty, students, and staff, Center for Medication Safety Advancement and HealthcareTAP have helped many Indiana hospitals and health care providers achieve their mission of improving quality, safety, and efficiency by applying engineering principles and medical/nursing best practices.
