Councils & Task Forces

 

This Council advises the association on the needs and requirements specific to behavioral health facilities so that they may be blended into the activities and programs of the association in general.
This Council monitors programs and payment systems of all payers, advises on and promotes payment methodologies enhancing members' financial activity, assists staff, on request, in relationships with third-party payers, and in determining appropriate financial related data collections and disseminations.
This Council makes recommendations to the Board regarding the development of the association’s government relations policy and sets legislative priorities.  This Council advises staff on procedures for assuring enhancement of membership through legislative activities.
This Council advises the association on issues related to medical staff relations, governing boards, and executive management, and advises in the planning and implementation of governing board education. This Council also monitors activities of organizations that impact members, such as accrediting bodies, local or regional business coalitions, and state and federal regulatory agencies.
This Council advises the association on the information needs of membership and the data to be collected. It also provides counsel on the format of data to be routinely disseminated to membership, the technology necessary for collection and distribution of data to others through members, and the overall scope of association information services. This Council also provides input on activities of organizations that impact members’ data reporting activities, such as the National Quality Forum, accrediting bodies, and various state and federal regulatory agencies.

This Council advises the Board, Indiana Patient Safety Center and staff on the quality improvement and patient safety needs of membership and recommends activities and functions to support these needs. It assists in the development of IHA positions on federal and state patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. This Council also monitors activities of organizations that impact members’ quality improvement activities, such as the National Quality Forum, accrediting bodies, quality improvement organizations, and state and federal regulatory agencies.

This Council advises the association on the needs and requirements specific to rural health so that they may be blended into the activities and programs of the association in general.
This Council advises the Association on issues related to human resource management, development and creates principle and policy recommendations on medical staff and employee relations.
The Rehabilitation Task Force was created to support quality, cost-effective, and accessible rehab programs.  The mission is to support member organizations through activities which educate consumers and providers, influence public policy and legislation and enhance the delivery of rehab services to people with disabilities.
The Federal Leveraging Task Force was created to review and make recommendations regarding possible changes to DSH, UPL, and HCI.
