Assistance on a legal issue specific to a member organization is not covered by dues, and the member would need to establish a direct client relationship. Hall, Render keeps members abreast of changing legal and regulatory matters through memos, on this Web site, and at IHA educational activities.
Group Appeals:
Under the guidance of our general counsel, this association pioneered the concept of Medicare group appeals. We have successfully used our collective strength to obtain relief from or revision of onerous regulations. A group appeals committee reviews issues affecting members to determine whether a group appeal appears warranted. The committee presently comprises a hospital CEO, four hospital CFOs, attorneys from Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, and IHA staff. Members choosing to join a group appeal will share in the costs of mounting the appeal.
