IHA Annual Meeting Offers Full Day of Patient Safety Programming
The 2009 IHA Annual Meeting is set for Sept. 16-18 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. The three-day conference will kick-off with an entire day dedicated to patient safety and service excellence. Sorrel King, founder of the Josie King Foundation, will detail her unlikely path from full-time mom to nationally renowned patient safety advocate, following the death of her 18-month old daughter Josie. Also joining the day-one lineup is noted patient safety author Rosemary Gibson. She will reflect on the 10 years since the Institute of Medicine’s report, "To Err is Human," detailing how far we have come and where we need to go. In addition, IHA members will showcase successful and innovative hospital programs during a series of breakout sessions. To register, visit www.regonline.com/iha2009annual.
