DATALINK is a secure online tool for submitting and correcting data for both the Inpatient Discharge Study and the Outpatient Study.
Participating IHA member hospitals submit patient level inpatient and outpatient data. The submitted data is used to create inpatient and outpatient market share and utilization reports distributed annually to participating IHA member hospitals. In addition, hospitals can generate custom reports based on this data using Dimensions software. Both inpatient and outpatient data sets are available for purchase.
IHA's Comparative Outcome Profile is a collection of quarterly reports that can put quality indicators into perspective. The profile allows hospitals to compare data they commonly capture -- indicators on mortality, unplanned events, infections, deliveries, and behavioral health patients.
Dimensions is a specialized program customized to provide pre-built reports and charts in a user-friendly Windows environment. Dimensions also gives hospitals the ability to instantly create their own customized reports from IHA’s inpatient and outpatient databases.
The database is the source of comparable information on average length of stay, outpatient statistics, charges and expenses per day and per stay, uncollected charges, number of days in accounts receivable gross, and a number of personnel statistics.
IHA collects and reports salary information on over 180 hospital positions.
Data submitted for the HR benchmarking survey is used to create reports that give participants a comparative snapshot of open positions, vacancy numbers, and turnover rates by state, district, and peer group.
