Over the past few decades, the responsibilities of hospital trustees have become more demanding and complex, forcing trustees to adopt new ways of governing that must include oversight of their hospitals’ financial, legal and clinical duties. Hospitals will be held accountable in ways like never before. It’s up to the board to oversee and ensure hospitals are moving in the right direction—IHA is committed to helping you do just that. Last year, the IHA board of directors laid out an ambitious goal for IHA to step up and provide more resources, education and technical assistance to hospital trustees. We are pleased to bring you the first issue of the IndianaTrustee. Each quarter, IHA will distribute the newsletter designed specifically for Indiana’s hospital trustees. The newsletter will provide specific industry, governance and educational information to help trustees guide their organizations.
