Indiana RAC Revises ADR Letter

Indiana hospitals will start receiving Additional Documentation Requests that include both requests related to “approved issues” as well as “probe issues.” Probe issues are issues that the recovery audit contractor, CGI, is considering submitting to CMS for approval. The test claim sample is used to assist CGI and CMS to determine if the audit concept is consistent with Medicare policy.
