As many as 200,000 CLABSIs occur each year, leading to as many as 25,000 preventable deaths. HIIN participants work with subject matter experts to understand the clinical conditions that lead to infections. They also learn how to engage staff in CLABSI reduction efforts and provide effective coaching.
