Surgical site infections affect thousands of patients each year. HIIN members are working to track the total number of surgical site infections that occur at their hospitals. Using this data, members will evaluate the causes of infection, develop practices to reduce their incidence and come up with comprehensive surgical suite best practices for infection control.
