The number of flu cases in Indiana continues to rise dramatically. As of Jan. 6, the flu is widespread across the state, 95 percent of the flu specimens tested at the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) have come back positive and 50 Hoosiers have died from the illness. This time last year, the flu was only being seen regionally, 50 percent of flu specimens had tested positive and four Hoosiers had died.
