IHA Receives 2018 HRET HIIN Quality Award for High Performance

The American Hospital Association's Health Research and Educational Trust (AHA/HRET) recognized IHA with the 2018 HRET HIIN Quality Award for High Performance on July 25 during the AHA Leadership Summit in San Diego. IHA is one of 34 state hospital associations working to reduce harm across the country through the HRET Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN). The HRET HIIN comprises more than 1,600 hospitals, including more than 100 from Indiana. The overarching goal of the HIIN is to decrease inpatient harm by 20 percent and readmissions by 12 percent by 2019. The HRET HIIN Quality Award honors outstanding achievement in creating a culture of patient safety, delivering value, and executing evidence-based practices as part of day-to-day operations. In addition to IHA, the Florida Hospital Association and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association were honored with the award. Learn more about the HRET HIIN and see a list of all the participating hospitals in Indiana on IHA's website.
