IHA Seeks Hospitals for Tobacco Cessation Quality Improvement Pilot Program

IHA was recently awarded a Health Systems Change Partnership grant from the Indiana State Department of Health to build the capacity of health systems to routinely assess and address tobacco use. IHA is seeking two to three member hospitals willing to integrate tobacco dependence treatment into the continuum of care to participate in a pilot program. The pilot sites will be asked to examine existing workflow processes and care models to incorporate tobacco cessation services and follow-up. For more information, contact Rachel Kimmel, tobacco prevention and cessation quality advisor, at rkimmel@IHAconnect.org.
