LifePoint Health Receives John M. Eisenberg Award for Innovation in Patient Safety

​​​The prestigious John M. Eisenberg Award for Innovation in Patient Safety was awarded to LifePoint Health, which includes Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville and Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg. Presented annually by the National Quality Forum and The Joint Commission, the award recognizes major achievements in health care quality and patient safety and honors the late Dr. John M. Eisenberg, an ardent advocate for and leader in health care quality improvement. LifePoint is being recognized for its National Quality Program, a structured process for ensuring consistent, high standards of quality and patient safety. The program, created in partnership with Duke University Health System, has led to significant enhancements across the LifePoint network, including a more than 60 percent improvement in aggregate patient safety.
