Spencer
Grover, retired IHA vice president, founding member of the Indiana Rural Health
Association (IRHA), and long-time IRHA board member, was honored at the 21st
Annual Indiana Rural Health Association Conference with the Lifetime Service
Award. Grover was a key author of
the Indiana Critical Access Hospital Program, which has enabled 35 small,
rural hospitals in Indiana to obtain and maintain critical access status for
their communities. He was also instrumental in IHA’s emergency preparedness
efforts over the past two decades, developing programming and administering
grants to establish emergency resourcefulness across the state. He also
helped spearhead the development of a network of trauma hospitals in
Indiana by promoting trauma awareness at all levels of health care.
