​Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville will begin to renovate their existing nursery space to prepare for their Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The renovations began June 14 and are expected to be completed in six weeks. The project includes the addition of oxygen and suction hookups, window replacement, cosmetic updates, adding electrical outlets and converting sinks to touchless. Once complete, the Level II NICU will be equipped to care for infants delivered as early as 32 weeks gestation, depending on the infant’s condition or diagnosis. These infants typically have medical conditions that are expected to resolve quickly.
