Industry Leaders Recognized During IHA Annual Meeting

IHA honored several distinguished health care leaders during its annual awards ceremony held on Nov. 5 at the Westin Indianapolis.
Rob McLin, CEO of Good Samaritan, was presented with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his decades of leadership and transformative initiatives, physician training programs, and statewide advocacy for rural hospitals.

Dr. Eric Fish, President and CEO of Schneck Medical Center, received the inaugural Advocate of the Year award for his exceptional commitment to legislative advocacy and improving health care policy statewide.

Dr. Michael Mirro, Chief Academic Research Officer at Parkview Health, earned the Award of Merit for his pioneering contributions to cardiology, research, and education, including the creation of the Mirro Center for Research and Innovation. IHA praised all three honorees for their vision, integrity, and lasting impact on Indiana’s health care system.

Bryan Mills, CEO of Community Health Network, (not pictured) was honored with the IHA John C. Render Award for Health Policy which is presented to an individual that has had a significant influence on health care policy affecting Indiana hospitals.
Recognizing the importance of nurturing future health care leaders who will carry the torch of excellence, IHA was pleased to present the 2025 Stella Scholarship to Kiyla Sanders, an MHA student at IU’s Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. In addition to her excellent academic credentials and demonstrated interest in growing as a future health care leader, Ms. Sanders is also a veteran of the United States Air Force. Congratulations to this year’s IHA award recipients.
