IHA’s 2015 Legislative Session Report is now available for download and review. More than 1,250 bills were introduced in 2015 (669 House bills and 589 Senate bills), with nearly 90 bills assigned to the health committees. In the end, 139 House bills and 129 Senate bills made final passage in both the House and Senate before the legislative deadline.

IHA’s report provides highlights of those issues most relevant to hospitals. Please note that the effective date of legislation varies—for example, the Caregiver Advise, Record, Enable (CARE Act, or HEA 1265) is not effective until January 1, 2016.
