The
U.S. Food and Drug Administration has developed Every Try Counts, a new
smoking cessation education campaign. The campaign specifically targets smokers
ages 25-54 who have tried to quit in the last year by celebrating each quit
attempt as a positive step towards success. The two-year campaign will launch
in January with print, digital and outdoor advertisements. The FDA hopes to
disrupt tobacco companies' point of sale marketing efforts with the campaign by
placing their messaging in the same locations. Read
