Leaf was one of the most promising collegiate football players of his time and
a finalist for the Heisman trophy. Today, he is a voice for the recovery
community. Leaf will explain how he went from being selected as the second
overall pick in the NFL draft (after Peyton Manning) to serving 32 months in
prison for burglary and drug charges—and how he ultimately overcame an
addiction to opioids—at the IHA Annual Membership Meeting, coming up Sept. 26 –
27 at The Westin Indianapolis. An advocate for those struggling with mental and
behavioral health issues, Leaf encourages audiences to transform the way they
think about mental health issues and addiction. He seeks to reach people who
cannot yet imagine a better life for themselves. Leaf's wish is to be an
